Matthew Casey is one of Portland’s premier swing musicians and singers, performing the pop hits from the 1940′s and 50′s.
Affectionately called “The Crooner” by his fans, Matthew loves doing the best music of the 20th century ~ hits by great artists such as Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Duke Ellington, Tony Bennett, and many more.
As both a trained vocalist and professional jazz pianist, Matthew brings a classic style of jazz crooning to all his performances. A Portland native, his diverse musical abilites have taken him across America and include countless live settings, albums, and extensive radio and television work.
Closer to home, Matthew has performed in some of Portland’s finest venues such as Pittock Mansion, Portland Golf Club, the Benson Hotel, and serving on the piano staff at Lloyd Center Nordstrom. He is also a featured entertainer at Portland International Airport (PDX). His rich musical expression and warm, entertaining style are much loved by all his listeners, and are a perfect fit for parties, concerts, and wherever top-notch crooning and jazz piano are in demand.
